About Me


Krishnamani is a professional Rainforest Ecologist, Landscape Photographer, and an Open Access web portal guru based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Zoology for studying the Phyto-ecology of the endemic lion-tailed macaque habitats in the Western Ghats of southern India. He slowly shifted his research interest from monkeys to the rainforest trees. He runs a not-for-profit organization, The Rainforest Initiative, to foster research on the mosaic of the Western Ghats’ vegetation.

Krishnamani is a person of versatile and varied abilities. He is self-taught in the nuances of the enigmatic genre of Landscape Photography. His photographs are winning accolades among his peers; with dedicated zeal he aims at taking this passion to the next level of professional photography. When he isn’t chasing light you can find him at the computer analyzing his photographs.

His new venture, Accenterra Research and Development Private Limited hosts www.thesica.org: this is a web-based portal that presents multi-dimensional research in wide-ranging disciplines, connecting researchers, SMEs and corporates in multiple sectors to facilitate industry-specific deep dives & validated research.
